In addition to using the mouse to control the audio player, you can control the player with these keyboard shortcuts:

Normally, the audio player window would need to be in front (in focus) on your screen in order to control the player. To control the player without having the player in front, you must use the Google Chrome browser and a Mirsk Chrome extension that you can download here.
You can also control the audio player functions from a foot switch that emulates a USB keyboard. There are several foot switches in the market that will let you do this.

The Olympus foot switches can run in one of two modes, Olympus or Keyboard mode. For ProDictation the foot switch needs to run in Keyboard mode. In order to set up the foot switch to run in Keyboard mode, you will need to download and run the Olympus Foot Switch Configuration Tool:
Download, unzip and run the Olympus Foot Switch Configuration Tool. Plug in the USB cable of your Olympus RS-xxH foot switch and verify that your configuration tool window looks similar to the one shown above. Select 'Keyboard mode' in the 'Operating mode' dropdown menu. Click 'Apply to Foot Switch' and verify that you get the message 'Foot Switch Settings Updated'.
You are now ready to use your foot switch with ProDictation!
