There are three types of users on the system:
1. Administration user
The administration user can create new, and edit existing, user profiles. He or she can also manage dictation types and priorities on the system. When the initial administrator is created, the same person is automatically created to include all three roles on the system in order to be able to test all functionality.
2. Dictating user
The dictating user can create and send dictations to the designated part of the hosted MIRSK system. In order to upload a dictation, the user must type in a case number (no specific format required) and select a dictation type and a priority for the particular dictation. In addition, the dictating user can type a note and associate this with a dictation.
3. Transcribing user
The transcribing user will have access to all dictations uploaded by the users associated with this account on hosted MIRSK. The dictations will be available in an Inbox that is quite similar to an e-mail inbox. The transcribing user can play the dictations and control the player (start/stop/wind) from control keys on the keyboard or from an optional foot pedal. The dictations can be filtered to show only dictations within a certain date range or by priority, dictated by and other parameters. It is highly recommended to use a high quality headset for listening to the dictations.
